Q: How do I upgrade my membership?

Upgrade from the Membership page in your account settings. Stripe handles checkout — no hidden fees.

Q: What happens if I exceed my AI quota?

AI actions use monthly credits (and optional top-ups). Full alternative lists and BOM Health unlocks are Pro features and do not consume AI credits. Long conversations and large BOM analyses use more credits. Upgrade to Pro for a larger monthly pool, or top up credits without unlocking Pro-only features like Report and Export.

Q: Is there a free version?

Yes. Free includes AI credits plus alternative-list and BOM Health previews. Full alternative lists, BOM Health reports, Report, and Export require Pro or a 7-day Pro trial.

Q: What is the difference between the Free and Pro plans?

Free is for students and makers to try the workflow. Pro is the daily plan for engineers and FAEs: Alternative Report with evidence, Export, unlimited alternative lists and BOM Health, ~420 AI credits/month, and up to 50 Smart BOMs. Start a 7-day Pro trial (card required, cancel anytime) from Pricing or when you hit a Pro gate.

Q: Does PartGenie include live distributor pricing and stock?

PartGenie shows pricing and stock signals in search and BOM where available. Data is not real-time — refresh cadence varies by source. Use it for early sourcing context and confirm final quotes and availability with your distributor before purchase.

Q: Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. Cancel anytime from Manage Billing Information. Flexible cancellation — no long-term lock-in.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We use Stripe for all payments. Choose the method that works best for you at checkout.
