PartGenie is owned and operated by AuraLoom LLC. PartGenie.ai ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring clear, transparent handling of your data. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal and proprietary information—especially sensitive content like design files, images, and BOMs—when you use our AI-driven services. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California, USA).
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Personal Data and Uploaded Content
Account Information: Includes name, company, email, login credentials, billing details, and transaction history.
User Content: Any information you provide or upload—such as design files, BOMs, schematics, technical specs, images, and other content (“Uploaded Content”).
Communication Information: Messages or feedback you send us via email or through the Platform.
2.2. Automatic and Technical Data
Log & Usage Data: IP address, device and browser info, time stamps, usage patterns.
Cookies & Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance performance and user experience. We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the marketing site (heatmaps and session recordings). Clarity may collect device, browser, and interaction data under Microsoft’s privacy policy, and only after analytics consent is granted.
3. How We Use Your Data
To Provide & Maintain Services: Including processing your Uploaded Content and delivering requested AI functionality.
Improvement & Research: We may analyze de-identified or aggregate data to enhance features and system performance.
Communication: Notifications about updates, service alerts, or support (with consent or legitimate interest).
Security & Compliance: Preventing misuse, ensuring legal compliance, protecting intellectual property.
4. Retention, Security & Data Ownership
Retention Period: We retain your Uploaded Content only as long as needed to provide our services or as legally required. Upon account termination, residual data may remain for audit or legal purposes.
Security Measures: We protect your data using industry-standard encryption (e.g., AES-256 at rest, TLS for transit), secure access controls, and regular security reviews.
Your Ownership Rights: You retain full ownership over your Uploaded Content. We use it solely to deliver and improve services—not for broader training or external sharing—unless you explicitly opt in.
5. Use in Model Training
By default, PartGenie.ai does not use your Uploaded Content (design files, images, BOMs) to retrain our models, unless you explicitly consent. This follows practices like ChatGPT Enterprise’s policy of not using business data for training by default.
6. Transfer, Disclosure & Third-Party Access
We may share data only in the following contexts:
Service Providers: To support service delivery (e.g., hosting, billing)—under strict confidentiality.
Legal Requirements: If mandated by law or legal processes.
Business Changes: During mergers, acquisitions, or sales, with continued data protection.
We do not sell your personal or proprietary data.
7. Your Privacy Rights
EU (GDPR): You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent, and can lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.
California (CCPA): You may request disclosure of collected data, deletion, and opt-out of data sharing.
8. Automatic Deletion of Uploaded Content
If your Uploaded Content is tied to a session—for example, temporary analysis of design files or images—it may be automatically deleted after session termination.
9. Privacy Risks with Image Metadata & Feature Uploads
We encourage you to be aware that images may contain metadata (e.g., GPS coordinates, timestamps) which can reveal sensitive information. Although we implement protections, we recommend removing metadata before uploading.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may periodically update our Privacy Policy. You will be notified of substantial changes via email and/or platform notices. Changes take effect upon posting.
