MDD(Microdiode Semiconductor)
An upgrade path in the same SOD-123 package with a much higher current rating (1A) for demanding applications.
The SD103AW is a 40V, 0.35A Schottky diode in a compact SOD-123 package, commonly used for rectification and switching. Several pin-compatible alternatives with similar or upgraded performance are readily available.
Pin-compatible options have similar or better voltage/current ratings.
Many functional alternatives exist in non-compatible packages (SMA, SMB) that will not fit the SOD-123 footprint.
Direct replacement for SD103AW should use only Datasheet verified or Strong match candidates; many approved options still require engineering review.
MBR0540 is the most direct replacement path, offering a similar profile with a minor, safe increase in current handling.
The primary risk is using a part with a different package (e.g., SMA, SMB), which requires a mandatory PCB redesign and is not a drop-in substitute.

Verified drop-in options for SD103AW are limited in the current batch. Review candidates marked Strong match or Datasheet verified, and validate package, pinout, and electrical limits before committing a BOM change.
